Charlie Gallo is an attorney, educator, homeowner and taxpayer. He currently serves on the Lynn School Committee and as the Secretary of the Lynn Democratic City Committee. Charlie is working hard to earn your vote for State Representative in the 11th Essex District in Lynn and Nahant.

Charlie graduated from St. Mary’s High School, which he attended on both academic and needs-based scholarships. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Suffolk University as a commuter student in 2005 while working nights and weekends at a Lynn grocery store, becoming the first member of his family to graduate from college.
He earned his Law Degree in 2009 as an evening student at Suffolk Law School while working as a paralegal during the day. Today, he works as an attorney representing senior citizens and their families in elder law matters in addition to working with nonprofits. Charlie also teaches courses in government as an adjunct instructor at North Shore Community College.
Charlie has shown a commitment to the community by serving on several boards and committees. He was elected to the Lynn School Committee in 2011 and re-elected in 2013.
Charlie serves on the boards of the Lynn Community Association and Lynn Home for Young Women. He maintains membership with the Friends of Lynn and Nahant Beach, Friends of Lynn Woods, Lynn Museum, Friends of Nahant Council on Aging, Friendly Knights of St. Patrick, and associate membership with the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 10. Charlie also belongs to the attorneys’ Bar Associations of Greater Lynn and Essex County.
Charlie previously served as a member of the Lynn Citizens Advisory Board (2008 – 2012), which reviews grant applications for youth programs, nonprofits, and other community development programs. He also served as an associate member of the Lynn Zoning Board of Appeals (2009 – 2012).
A strong progressive advocate, Charlie has volunteered for a number of Democratic political campaigns beginning in his youth. He has been a member of the Lynn Democratic City Committee since 2003, and has been elected and re-elected as its secretary since 2004. Charlie is also a member of Lynn’s Ward 7 Democratic Committee and the North Shore Young Democrats. He has been elected many times as a delegate to Massachusetts Democratic Party Conventions.
